Altar Servers

Thank you for your interest in becoming an altar server at St. Michael Catholic Church. To be an altar server, you must be in at least third grade and have received your Holy Communion. Due to various family vacation schedules during the summer, we are leaving the schedule OPEN for the month of July. We encourage all servers to check in at the sacristy when they come to Mass to see if they are needed to serve that day.

             ALTAR SERVER PRACTICE (FOR BOTH NEW AND “VETERAN” SERVERS):

We will be having two altar server practice sessions in the next few weeks, both to train new servers as well as to make sure the experienced servers are all on the same page. The next session is on Sunday, August 8th @ 12:15 P.M. (in the Church, with pizza for lunch, lasting until 2:30). Each server needs to make sure to attend one or the other. I will be drawing upon the experience of some of the older servers to help me teach the younger ones, so I really need even the super experienced “veterans” to attend. If a family cannot attend either one of these dates, please let me know to work something out.
