CURSILLO ULTREYA The next Men’s Weekend is scheduled for September 9-12, 2010 and the next Women’s Weekend will be held September 30-October 3. Anyone interested in attending one of these weekends or learning more about Cursillo is encouraged to please join us!
HELP 4 KIDS The Mobile Van goes to the homes of children in need delivering basic necessities, birthday cakes, presents, books, school supplies, and BackPack Buddy snacks on Friday, so they will have food on weekends. The Help 4 Kids van visits St. Michael every month on the first Friday from 8-11 am. You can find their white van in the parking lot on the side of the rectory. They accept all kinds of donations of new and good used clothing, snacks, and children’s articles. Thank you for your support! PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY The Prayer Shawl Ministry needs your HANDS!!!!!! The primary mission of our Prayer Shawl Ministry is to prayerfully craft shawls and lap robes, as expressions of comfort, for our parishioners, their family and friends, who are experiencing a crisis, health problems or transition in their lives. UPDATE: We’re on our way!!!! To date, we have approximately 200 hats and scarves completed, thanks to our ladies in the minisutry and our parishoners. But,since we hope to send them to the Women and Children’s Shelter, St. Cyprian’s and Help 4 Kids, more, lots more, are still needed. So, here’s your chance to help. yarn and patterns are available, or use your own. men, women and children’s are needed. Completed items may be left in the church office or brought to our gatherings on the 2nd and 4th Mondays in PAC Hall from 1-3 pm. If you need anything, want to drop off items, or have questions, please contact Joan Garvey at 215-0160. Keep and eye on the bulletin for information on our gatherings. We are considering meeting during the summer months and will keep you updated on our decision. |
