Five teachers (to be announced) have been awarded “Title II” funding to attend “The Best Practices Institute” in Myrtle Beach in July. Children learn at different rates and respond to various teaching methods. They will participate in workshops that help close the “achievement gap” that often times occur in our classrooms. Our teachers will explore innovative techniques and strategies to increase reading and math fluency to appeal to the numerous ways children learn. This is the first time St. Michaels has been awarded these funds that total $2,000. On behalf of our school and teachers, thank you for supporting our school!
