Current PTO Officers

The PTO works together as a team on every task. Even though the PTO is ultimately responsible for most fundraising events, we provide the support the event chairman/chairmen need to ensure the success of each event. Every registered family automatically becomes part of our PTO. As PTO members, you will be required to attend two PTO meetings per year. One at the beginning of the year in September, one immediately following Christmas vacation. With the addition of our website, we have eliminated the need for monthly PTO meetings. A school-wide award assembly including students, teachers and parents will be held at the end of the year to honor our those who have contributed the most to our school.


PTO PRESIDENT (Two year term): AMY GOLDEN
Amy has been involved at St. Michael’s Catholic School since 2002. She is married and has two children, Will and Patrick, who have been at the school since their kindergarten years. Prior to becoming PTO President in 2007, Amy has been active in many of the school’s activities from reading groups to chairing the Harvest Festival. Amy values academics along with the unique learning environment St. Michael’s provides. “I feel lucky to have such a wonderful school for my children to attend. This position is a two-year term and elected on “odd-numbered” years.

VICE PRESIDENT (Two year term): KATHY TILMONT

Kathy Tilmont was named VP of the PTO in 2009. The VP helps coordinate volunteers for events, fills in for the president, writes thank you notes to donors, assists with the coordination of a variety of PTO functions, attends all meetings and is an integral part of the PTO team and assists with events. This position is a two-year term and elected on “even-numbered” years.

SECRETARY: JENNY WALSH (Two year term)

Jenny Walsh was named PTO Secretary in 2008 after she and her husband Pat and 3 children Jessica, Kelly and Patrick (7th grade), moved from Baltimore earlier this year. She has been a Catholic school parent for the last 19 years and worked as a classroom assistant at a previous school. Since the secretary’s position is vital to our overall communication, her experience comes in handy. Thank you Jenny for sharing your time and talents with us to improve the communication in our school. This position is a two-year term and elected on odd-numbered years.

TREASURER: DEBBIE FLOYD

Debbie Floyd was appointed to PTO treasurer. Debbie has been on our school’s finance committee and is a certified accountant. Debbie’s son Bobby is a student at St. Michael Catholic. Thank you Debbie for sharing your many talents with us and for your devotion to our school. This position is an appointed position.

ROOM PARENT LIAISON (New Position): KATHLEEN MCDONNELL

Kathleen McDonnell was appointed to RPL in 2009. Postion’s main focus is to be a liaison to the classroom parents and help coordinate volunteers for events. This is a newly created position. Kathleen has two girls at St. Michael Catholic School. This is a two-year term elected on odd-numbered years.


SCHOOL’S WEBMASTER: MAURA UTLEY

Maura’s background in marketing, advertising and design continues to benefit St. Michael Catholic School. After designing the library and painting the mural, she designed the church and school’s website that went live in 2006. Since it’s inception, the website has become a very useful resource for parents, teachers, and our Parish community and has been gaining popularity and continues to grow every year. Maura has a son at St. Michael Catholic School. This position is an appointed position.
