YOUTH DIAMOND FUND SELECTS 2006 GRANT RECIPIENT

Saint Michael Catholic Church and School has been selected to receive a $10,000 grant to build a baseball/softball field at the elementary school by the Myrtle Beach Pelicans’ Youth Diamond Fund. Their project is anticipated to benefit students, parishioners and members of the surrounding community. The formal presentation of the check took place at the Myrtle Beach Pelicans’ Saturday evening game at Coastal Federal Field.

The Myrtle Beach Pelicans’ Youth Diamond Charity Fund is a charitable foundation formed in 1998 as the primary charitable effort of The Myrtle Beach Pelicans, a Class A affiliate of The Atlanta Braves. The organization raises funds to support the development of baseball and softball programs, equipment and facilities for the youth of Horry County.

Saint Michael Catholic School wishes to thank The Myrtle Beach Pelicans Youth Diamond Fund for their generosity and for supporting our school.
