Dear Parents,
Welcome back to school! I hope everyone had a wonderful summer and was able to spend time doing fun things with your family. I am looking forward to teaching your child. It is going to be a fun and an exciting year!!
Homework: It will be given Monday-Thursday. Your child will need to write the assignments in his/her planner. Homework will be due the next day.
Book Reports: Students will do a book report each month. Your child will have to read a reading counts book and do a project with that book. After reading their book, they will have to take a reading counts test on that book to see how much they comprehended. Book reports will be announced each month.
Book Covers: Your child will be given 6 hard cover books and they need to have book covers on them.
Tests: Every Friday their will be a spelling and reading test. Other subject areas will be announced. Check your child’s planner.
Behavior Chart: Each child will be given a green, blue, yellow and red card. Green means they are having a great day. Blue means they were given a warning. Yellow means a time-out. Red means a phone call home or your child will be sent to the principal’s office.
