St. Michael Girl Scout Troop 150 Monday Meeting in the Science Lab 2:15 – 4:15 pm

  1. Permission Slips are required for all of these events, even if parent/guardian is with the Girl Scout.

  2. At least 4 Girl Scouts and 2 registered adults must be signed up for an event if we will attend as a troop.

  3. Only registered adult Girl Scouts who have completed “Virtus” may accompany the troop on events.

  4. Registered mothers/fathers and daughters can attend any event on their own, but must turn in a permission slip and register with the Girl Scout by the “REG BY” date.

  5. Obviously, we cannot do every event. The girls will have to pick which sound most exciting !

  6. Cookie Dough is accepted unless otherwise noted.

  7. All events begin and end at St. Michael Church and School unless otherwise noted.

  8. Who: D=Daisy, B=Brownie, J=Junior, C=Cadette, T=Tagalong …Tagalongs are family members who are not registered Girl Scouts, such as brothers or younger siblings. All includes all age levels and tagalongs.

Brownies, Juniors, and Cadettes should arrive at 4:30 to cook dinner.


Daisies should arrive at 5:45 to prepare their portion of dinner.

Based on the television program “Inside the Actors Studio,” members of the Good Vibrations cast will discuss what it is like to work in the entertainment industry.

Dr. Seuss’s Birthday Party


Dr. Seuss turns 106th on March 2, 2010, and you could not, would not, want to miss a celebration such as this! Come join the fun to see how you would run a zoo, taste green eggs and ham, and make your own hat like the Cat’s. So hold on to your nose for this Seuss-a-bration! Please bring a sack lunch. Birthday cake will be served after lunch..

Troop Slumber Party at the Lodge in Sandy Ridge – Our Judettes are planning all sorts of fun for the Brownies & Daisies. So pack your sleeping back and be prepared to roast marshmallows in the giant fireplace at the Girl Scout Lodge.

Super Sleuths: The Great Architectural History Hunt


During this event, girls will learn about architecture through a history hunt at Hampton Plantation State Historic Site. Existing structures and examples of structures from other sites will be used to introduce girls to 18th century architecture and plantation life. By using information they find, girls will be able to get a clear picture of what a plantation looked like and the differences in the lives of those who worked on the plantation and those who owned the plantation.

Science Myths Uncovered at Carowinds – Society of Women Engineers hosts a night of Science at Carowinds, spend Saturday riding the rides, and pack up on Sunday.


Leader in Charge & First Aider = Kyle Myres 421-3982 Packing list will be sent separately. $ needed for lunch and dinner on Saturday. The troop will be staying in tents. Cabins are options for adults who don’t want to tent camp. The troop will not be paying anything towards cabin rental.


In case of emergency, the leader will notify Lisa Hoeffel at 650-4659 who will then notify the parents.

Here is your chance to swim with the stingrays in Friendship Flats. We will put on a wetsuit and enter the shallow end of Ray Bay and let the stingrays swim all around us. You may even get a kiss from one of the rays!

MagiQuest Overnight


Girls will become totally immersed in this interactive game. They choose a wand, choose a Magi name and enter the Realm to play a progressive game filled with quests, adventures and fun! Wands contain motion-sensors that activate flat screens and other items built into trees, mountains and other parts of the Realm.

Trip to Savannah – We are planning a big trip with all of our girls who are entering 2-9 in Fall 2010. We’ll tour Beaufort, Juliet Lowe’s House, and maybe even go on a scavenger hunt all over Savannah ! Plans will be discussed all year with details released in April and signups by May 1. Hopefully, our cookie money will cover most of the expenses. Anyone up for a soup supper fund raiser during Lent????
