Our eighth grade students will be taking a field trip to the Burroughs & Chapin Art Museum and attending an in-school painting workshop on Friday, October 23.
Details are as follows:
9:30 am Drop off students at school
10:00 am Tour Museum
12:00 pm Lunch at area restaurant
1:00-2:25 pm Painting workshop at school
2:30 pm Pick up from school
There is no cost for this field trip/workshop.
Transportation, lunch and supplies will be provided.
Casual dress; uniforms are not required.
Featured exhibit: 25 Years of Jonathan Green
Various media Twenty-one works of art by one of South Carolina’s most revered artists will hang in the newly dedicated Grace Martin Matlock Educational Galleries. Visitors, and children’s groups in particular, will have the opportunity to enjoy and learn about these vibrant works created over a 25-year period by Jonathan Green. The Art Museum is the proud owner of these works recently gifted
with the Barbara Burgess-John Dinkelspiel Collection of Southern Art.
